📋 Regulations
Browse, search, and filter all regulations relevant to your business.
Filtering
Use the filter dropdowns at the top to narrow down by industry and category (licensing, zoning, health & safety, tax, etc.). By default, regulations are filtered to your selected industry and state.
AI Search
Use the search bar to ask natural language questions like "What permits do I need for a food truck in Austin?". The AI will parse your query and find matching regulations.
Regulation Details
Click any regulation to view:
- AI Summary — Plain-English explanation of what the regulation means for your business.
- Compliance Checklist — Specific action items you need to complete, with priority levels.
- Source Link — Direct link to the official government source.
Generate Documents
Click "Generate Compliance Doc" in any regulation's detail view to create a professional compliance report customized for your business.
🗺️ Compliance Roadmap
The Compliance Roadmap visualizes your progress toward full regulatory compliance.
How It Works
- All compliance checklist items from your matching regulations are combined into a single roadmap.
- Items are sorted by deadline (from regulations' effective dates) and priority.
- Check off items as you complete them — your progress is saved automatically.
Status Colors
- 🔴 Past Due — The regulation's effective date has passed and this item is incomplete.
- 🟡 Due Soon — Deadline is within the next 7 days.
- 🔵 Upcoming — Scheduled but not yet due.
- 🟢 Completed — You've marked this item as done.
⚠️ Past Due items may trigger reminder alerts. Stay on top of deadlines to maintain compliance.
📄 Document Scanner
Upload your business permits, licenses, or internal compliance documents and let AI identify gaps.
How to Use
- Click "Choose File" and select a PDF (up to 10MB) or image file (PNG/JPG, up to 5MB).
- The system extracts text from your document using OCR (for images) or text parsing (for PDFs).
- AI compares your document against all regulations matching your business profile.
- You receive a Compliance Score (0-100%) and a detailed list of gaps and recommendations.
Understanding Results
- Compliance Score — Higher is better. 80%+ means you're in good shape.
- Gaps — Specific areas where your document doesn't meet requirements. Rated as Critical, Major, or Minor.
- Strengths — Areas your document already covers well.
- Recommendations — Specific actions to fix each gap.
💡 Pro Tip: Scan your business permit right after receiving it to catch any issues before they become problems.
🤖 AI Compliance Assistant
Ask the AI assistant any question about regulations, compliance requirements, or business permits.
Effective Questions
- "What food safety certifications do I need for my restaurant in Texas?"
- "Explain the ADA requirements for my retail store."
- "What happens if I miss the deadline for my health inspection renewal?"
- "Compare zoning laws between Austin and Houston for a brewery."
How It Works
The AI uses vector semantic search to find the most relevant regulations in the database based on your question. It then provides answers grounded in actual regulatory data — not generic advice.
💡 Pro Tip: Be specific about your industry, location, and what you need. The more context you give, the better the answer.
